公募展要項

MUT Tokyo は「涼味」をテーマに、アーティストを広く募集いたします。

絵画、写真、映像、音楽、インスタレーションなど、多様なメディアによる表現を歓迎します。

本展では、自然のリズムや身体の感覚から出発し、さらに人文的記憶や精神的象徴の中にも手がかりを求めながら——

暑気がやわらぎはじめる頃、空気に宿る微かな転調を描き出すこと、

光と影のあわいに、時間によって静かに均された一瞬の余白をとらえること。

竹影をかすめる風の澄んだ響きを記し、

熱の極みに達したのち、ゆるやかに鎮まっていく余熱を見つめること。

「涼味」は単なる温度の体験ではありません。

それは、季節の秩序としての感覚、四時の循環における必然でもあり、

風が肌に触れてとどまる一瞬の、身体に刻まれた触覚の記憶でもあります。

あるいは、竹の清簡、玉の温潤にも通じる精神の節度と自持。

感情が最高潮に達したそのときに、自らのために残すひと呼吸の間でもあります。

本展における「涼」は、具体的な情景として——

夕暮れの微風が野を渡る気配、

風鈴の音が空間にひろがる余韻、

夏の花火が夜空に昇り、闇へと落ちる刹那の光、

掌で溶けた氷が残す湿り気。

また抽象的な感覚として——

情熱が冷めたあとの澄明、

記憶が褪せたのちに残る余白、

都市の喧騒の背後にひそむ束の間の静寂、

そして熱を帯びた日常の中でもなお保ちうる、節度・余白・内省。

MUT は、アーティストそれぞれの経験と感覚を出発点に、自然・生活・記憶・感情に宿る一抹の涼を、見ること、聴くこと、感

ることのできる芸術言語へと昇華していただくことを願っています。

「涼」は温度にとどまらず、世界を見つめ、記録するための一つの方法でもあります。

公募形式。審査は、月画廊およびキュレーターが共同で行います。

ご来廊が難しい場合は、事前にギャラリー宛に郵送いただくことも可能です（送料は出展者負担）。

デジタル作品については、出力サポートが可能です（出力費は出展者負担）。

中国国内で制作する場合、指定期日内であれば国際送料を無料とします。

MUT Tokyo Open Call 2026

Theme: “A Sense of Coolness”

MUT Tokyo invites artists to respond to the theme “A Sense of Coolness” through diverse media including painting, photography, video, music, and installation.

We encourage artists to begin from the rhythms of nature and bodily perception, while also drawing from cultural memory and spiritual symbolism—

to depict the subtle shift in the air as summer heat begins to recede;

to capture the sliver of blankness between light and shadow, gently smoothed by time;

to record the crisp resonance of wind brushing through bamboo;

to contemplate the lingering warmth that slowly settles after intensity.

“Coolness” is not merely a physical sensation of temperature.

It may be a sense of seasonal order—an inevitability within the cycle of the four seasons;

a tactile memory of the body—the fleeting moment when wind pauses upon the skin;

a spiritual restraint and composure, like the simplicity of bamboo or the gentle luster of jade;

or a breath of space we preserve for ourselves at the height of emotion.

In this exhibition, “cool” may take concrete form—

the movement of an evening breeze across a field,

the resonance of wind chimes unfolding in space,

the flash of summer fireworks ascending before dissolving into night,

the damp trace left as ice melts in the palm.

It may also appear in abstract ways—

clarity after emotion cools,

the blankness remaining after memory fades,

a fleeting silence behind urban noise,

or the restraint, openness, and self-reflection one sustains within an ardent life.

MUT sincerely invites artists to begin from personal experience and perception, distilling that subtle coolness within nature, daily life, memory, and emotion into an artistic language that can be seen, heard, and felt.

“Coolness” is not only about temperature—it is also a way of observing and recording the world.

Open call format. Submissions will be reviewed jointly by Moon Gallery and the curator.

Exhibition fees are payable only after acceptance.

No application fee is required.

Review Period

Artwork Delivery

After acceptance, artworks should be delivered to the gallery on the installation day.

If in-person delivery is not possible, works may be shipped to the gallery in advance (shipping costs are the responsibility of the artist).

Printing support is available for digital works (printing costs are the responsibility of the artist).

Exhibition Fee

• 1 work, or within 50cm × 50cm (larger works counted as 1 unit): JPY 11,000

• 3 works, or 1m × 1m and above: JPY 22,000

• 5 works, or 2m × 2m and above: JPY 33,000

Participating artists may host workshops at the gallery during afternoon hours within the exhibition period. After-hours time slots will be given priority to exhibiting artists.

The gallery actively encourages the sale of related art merchandise and offers creative consultation for cultural products.

If merchandise is produced in China, free international shipping will be provided within the designated time frame.

Sales Commission

Revenue from artwork and related merchandise sales will be split:

60% to the artist / 40% to the gallery.

展览征集

MUT Tokyo以「凉意」为主题，邀请艺术家以绘画、摄影、影像、音乐、装置等多元媒介展开创作。

期待艺术家从自然节律与身体感知出发，也从人文记忆与精神象征之中提取线索——

去描绘暑气将退时空气里微妙的转折，去捕捉光影之间那一寸被时间抚平的空白；

去记录风掠过竹影的清响，去凝视热烈之后缓缓沉静的余温。

“凉意”并非单一的温度体验，

它或许是一种节气的秩序感，是四时流转中的必然；

是一种身体的触觉记忆，是风在皮肤上停留的瞬间；

是一种精神的节制与自持，如竹之清简，如玉之温润；

也是在情绪极盛之时，为自我保留的一段呼吸与间隙。

在本次展览中，“凉”既可以是具体的——

黄昏微风掠过田野的动势，

风铃声在空间中荡开的回响，

夏日花火升空后坠入夜色的那一瞬光芒，

冰块在掌心融化留下的湿痕；

亦可以是抽象的——

情感冷却后的清醒，

记忆褪色后的余白，

城市喧嚣背后短暂的寂静，

以及在热烈生活之中，依然能够保持的克制、留白与自省。

MUT 诚邀艺术家以个人经验与感知为起点，将自然、生活、记忆与情感中的那一抹凉意提炼为可被观看、聆听与感受的艺术语言。

“凉”不止于温度，亦是一种观看和记录世界的方法。
