Li Yunong Solo Exhibition "Till Your Last Farewell as a Sign, "

本展示はフリー作家・李雨濃の近年の作品群を同一の世界観に集約させたものである。

作家は自身の「書く」経験から出発し、紙という媒体とその物質的特性を重視し、その精神的体験と理解を絵画への再訳を試行する。

「書く」という行為は通常、白い紙に黒い色を使用し、白と黒、つまり書かれていない部分と書かれた部分を明確に区別することによって記号を成立させ、その上に秩序を与え、情報を込めることである。しかし、他の媒体と比べても、紙と筆記用具の組み合わせが青少年時代の記憶と強く結び付いているという感覚は、少なくとも作家の世代までは普遍的なものである。故に、紙面は幼い精神の秘密基地となり、魂のシェルターにもなったと、作家が主張する。

そして、作家が書く行為をプライベート的な修行と見做し、そこから獲得した形象を本展示の形として用意し、僅かな間でもご来訪をお待ちしている。

This exhibition brings together a collection of recent works by independent artist Li Yunong, unifying them under a single artistic vision.

Starting from her own experience of “writing,” the artist places great emphasis on the medium of paper and its material properties, attempting to reinterpret her spiritual experiences and understanding through painting.

The act of writing typically involves using black ink on white paper to create symbols by clearly distinguishing between black and white—that is, between the written and the unwritten—thereby imposing order to contain information. However, at least for my generation, the combination of paper and writing instruments is universally and strongly linked to one’s teenage memories. Therefore, the artist asserts that the page becomes a secret base for the young mind and a shelter for the soul.

Furthermore, the artist regards the act of writing as a form of private practice, and has prepared this exhibition as a manifestation of the imagery gained from that process. We look forward to welcoming you, even if only for a brief moment.
